In September 2019, The Alexander Hamilton Institute for the Study of Western Civilization Senior Fellow Juliana Geran Pilon published the book “The Utopian Conceit and the War on Freedom.” Dr. Pilon, a political philosopher and noted expert on issues of national security, explores the roots of the common ancestor of both anti-capitalism and anti-Semitism in the contemporary world, where political and religious freedom is increasingly under assault.

“Utopian Conceit,” was recently reviewed November 2, 2021 by Aaron Rhodes for RealClear Books. In his thorough review “Perfecting Humanity by Destroying It,” Rhodes states that, “This challenging and intense book offers a road map to understanding the deep roots and structures of utopianism in our culture, and how, in modernity and in the post-modern era, these tenacious roots have attached themselves, like a cancer, of potent ideologies and hatreds that target political and economic freedom and demonize minorities, in particular the Jewish people.”
