The Mackinder Forum, an association of foreign policy scholars, has awarded AHI Academic Advisor Paul Rahe the 2019 STRATFOR Book Award for Geopolitical Analysis for his recent book Sparta’s First Attic War: The Grand Strategy of Classical Sparta, 478-446 B.C. (Yale University Press, 2019).  The book analyzes Spartan military strategy during the Persian and Peloponnesian wars.

Dr. Rahe holds the Charles O. Lee and Louise K. Lee Chair in the Western Heritage, Hillsdale College.
