On July 26, Mary Grabar, Resident Fellow of the Alexander Hamilton Institute for the Study of Western Civilization (AHI), published the article “How Howard Zinn’s Anti-American Textbook Inspired The Antifa Bombing Attempt,” in The Federalist.  In her article, Dr. Grabar states “A People’s History” places a wildly disproportionate amount of focus on the past sins of the United States. The work teaches students to view history through the lens of toxic identity politics.” She concludes “The power of “A People’s History of the United States” to inspire revolutionary, violent action should not be underestimated.”

Mary Grabar, Ph.D., taught college English for 20 years. She founded the Dissident Prof Education Project, Inc., a 501(c)(3) education reform initiative.  The motto, “Resisting the Re-Education of America,” arose in part from her perspective as a very young immigrant from the former Communist Yugoslavia (Slovenia specifically).
