Legal Insurrection, a popular website created by Cornell University law professor William Jacobson, a Hamilton College alumnus, has invited Mary Grabar to participate in a special virtual event, “Rescuing History and Education from the 1619 Project.”  The event will take place on Sunday, March 21, at 8:00 p.m.  Those interested in attending must preregister here.

Mary Grabar, AHI Resident Fellow

Dr. Grabar, Resident Fellow, The Alexander Hamilton Institute for the Study of Western Civilization (AHI), will be joined on the panel by Professor Jacobson; Lucas Morel, John K. Boardman, Jr. Professor of Politics, Washington & Lee University; and Ian Rowe, Resident Fellow, American Enterprise Institute.  Kemberlee Kaye, Director Operations and Editorial Development for the Legal Insurrection Foundation, will moderate the discussion.

“The 1619 Project,” Professor Jacobson observes, “aims to falsely rewrite American history.”  It has “found its way into our education system. We’ve catalogued The 1619 Project here since its publication. What’s going on? What can be done? And how we can we be involved? This solutions-based discussion will answer those questions and more. The panel discussion will include a Q&A portion.”

Dr. Grabar, whose Debunking Howard Zinn: Exposing the Fake History That Turned a Generation against America (Regnery, 2019) reached best-seller status on Amazon, is completing a book on the 1619 Project.
